Louise is a  British Horse Society registered Assistant Instructor, (BHSAI), now known as an Accredited Professional Coach (APC).

 

The philosophy of lessons at Corner House Farm are that they are fun but geared towards safety.  

 

Right from the start students are taught how to be around horses in the barn, in the stalls and whilst handling and riding them.

 

Progress is gradual to ensure that the student understands what is being asked of them. Louise teaches to British Horse Society (BHS) standards whether in riding or horse care with safety being the most important subject.

 

Corner House Farm (CHF) uses Progression Tests in both riding and horse care to help the students improve their knowledge. 

 

Louise is the FIRST British Horse Society APC to offer their Challenge Awards in the USA.She opened the door for others to help spread the BHS standards in the USA.

 

Students have the opportunity of competing on the schools horses on the website Interdressage.com, where Corner House Farm has won The Riding School of the Year four years in a row and have won and placed highly in the individual adult and junior leagues.  Some students also compete locally successfully on the school's horses.
